JUKI Club Retreat

17-21 February 2020

Stubton Hall,

I'm delighted to be coming along to the JUKI Club retreat in February, along with my fellow Bees and JUKI ambassadors Mercedes and Janet.  We'll be hanging out with the sewers in the dressmaking room, helping out as required with whatever projects you choose to bring.  We'll also be running mini-workshops throughout, my focus will be tailoring techniques and specifically pad stitching a wool collar, and welted pockets / bound buttonholes.  Can you tell I'm hoping that someone brings along a wool coat to sew?

Jeans making weekend

14 & 15 March 2020

The Sew Studio

Learn how to make a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly in this weekend sewing workshop! The thought of sewing jeans can be very intimidating to many sewers so  Victoria Nutt and I will guide you through the process step by step over this two day course.

The ‘Ginger’ Jeans is an iconic pattern that has become a wardrobe staple for many sewists. View A features a comfortable low rise with narrow stovepipe legs. View B is sexy and high-waisted with skinny legs and a tummy-slimming pocket stay. Engineered to be as flattering as possible, Ginger Jeans feature subtly shaped back pockets to highlight your curves, slimming side seams and a higher back rise. Designed for stretch denim, Ginger Jeans will hug you in all the right places.  They have full jeans styling including decorative topstitching, rivets etc.
