Intermediate sewing skills - sew a shell top

Cookston Crafts, Ellon

Saturday 18th May 2019

The class takes place in Cookston Crafts workshop space, on the outskirts of Ellon, Aberdeenshire. This will be a fun, wecoming class and is suitable for intermediate sewers.

Come along and sew a short sleeved woven cotton top. Learn the skills required to adjust the pattern to fit you, add an invisible zip and finish the neckline with your own hand made bias binding. All useful techniques that will help you in your future dressmaking projects.

You’ll need:
1 metre of 145-150cm wide fabric or 1.5metres of 110cm wide fabric (either plain or small any way up pattern)
20cm or longer invisible zip
Matching thread
Your sewing machine in full working order. A machine can be provided if requested in advance.

You’ll also have the pattern to take away with you at the end of the class.

All you need to do is let us know your dress size so I can bring the appropriate pattern which can be adjusted on the day.

Maximum class size: 6
